Basketball is Spirit League’s most popular sport.
2022 Season
We are excited to announce that both our Youth and Adult Program Basketball Seasons will be played in Mission Viejo at our home base near Newhart Middle School. Games will be held each Saturday from April 9 to June 18 (10-weeks with no games June 4). Each session will include skill development (including ball handling, passing and shooting), teamwork and building confidence on the courts.
Equipment:Â Equipment will be provided by Spirit League and be disinfected between each pod. The weekly curriculum includes minimized sharing of equipment between athletes.
Times:Â The registration fee includes attendance at all ten sessions. See Tentative 2022 Schedule below.
1:1 Assistance: If your athlete will need 1:1 assistance to participate, a parent/guardian or behavior therapist will be permitted on the courts.

BASEBALL
WELCOME TO SPIRIT LEAGUE BASEBALL
Baseball is a classic Spirit League sport. We are excited to return to our traditional baseball season at the Oso Fields in Mission Viejo (next to Newhart Middle School).
Each Saturday, athletes will learn the fundamentals of baseball (catching, hitting and batting) through various drills which will increase in complexity as the season progresses. Following drills, teams will play a game against another Spirit League team within the same age divisions.
BASEBALL SCHEDULE (tentative)
Division 3 (6-9 years): 9:00 – 10:00 am
Division 2 (9-13 years): 9:00 – 10:30 am
Division 1 (13-22 years):Â 10:45 am – 12:15 pm

VOLLEYBALL
WELCOME TO SPIRIT LEAGUE VOLLEYBALL
Spirit League is excited to announce our new summer volleyball season for adults ages 18 to 30 years. Volleyball is a social game and requires communication with others on the team both during practice and games. We will teach athletes the fundamentals of the game including how to communicate with teammates. Weekly scrimmages will be played.
Equipment will be provided for the Season. For those athletes who may be sensitive to a sand court, we recommend wearing volleyball sand socks or other athletic footwear appropriate for sand.
Athletes must check-in at the reception desk prior to entering the court area but will exit around the tennis courts when leaving. Face masks should be worn when entering/exiting the facility.
2021 VOLLEYBALL SEASON SCHEDULE

SOCCER
WELCOME TO SPIRIT LEAGUE SOCCER
Our 10-week Soccer Season will be held on Saturdays from September 10 through November 12 at the Oso Fields in Mission Viejo. We are excited to return to our traditional game format with teams led by volunteer coaches with support by volunteer Team Mentors and Spirit League staff.
Online registration will be from June 7 through July 20.
Soccer is a visual sport. Athletes will work on motor planning skills, keeping their eyes on the ball and being aware of their surroundings, in addition to the fundamentals of the sport. Whether your athlete is new to soccer or has played with the League for several seasons, we welcome your family to join us in September.
