ADULT PROGRAM
Spirit League offers year-round youth and adult sports programming for athletes with developmental disabilities. Our Adult Program includes bowling, baseball, basketball, volleyball, and flag football for athletes ages 18 – 35 years.
BOWLING
Bowling…sounds simple, right? Bowling takes not only physical skills but social skills. We plan to work on the game from both angles during our Adult Bowling Clinic.
Open to athletes ages 18 – 35, the Clinic will focus on bowling fundamentals, including ball selection, form, and scoring. From the life-skill perspective, athletes will learn how to get the appropriate shoe wear, the importance of being on time (if you are late, you can’t join a game in progress), and how to participate in a recreational sport in a social environment (taking turns, encouragement, appropriate teasing, etc.
2026 CALENDAR
The 2026 Clinic will be played on Wednesdays, January 14 – March 18 (10 weeks) from 6:30 – 8:00. Online registration will be from November 18– December 18, 2025.

SOCCER
Soccer is a widely enjoyed sport throughout Orange County and offers adults a great opportunity to stay active, build skills, and connect with others in a positive, team-oriented environment. Participants often find that the confidence, coordination, and strategic thinking developed on the Spirit League field carry over into everyday life.
Each session begins with structured skill development, focusing on core fundamentals such as ball control, passing accuracy, and shooting technique. As the season progresses, training expands to include goalkeeping skills, positional awareness, tactical movement, and advanced passing strategies. The second portion of each session features organized match play against another League team within the same division. Over time, instructional segments gradually shorten while match play increases, allowing participants to apply their skills in a dynamic game setting.

Basketball
Our adult basketball season is different than our youth season. Instead of being assigned a specific team, we teach a pick-up game style where athletes can play with different teammates each week. This approach has led to our athletes making new friends while strengthening basketball fundamentals.
Our basketball curriculum focuses on the three fundamental skills of dribbling, shooting and passing. The first part of each session will focus on teaching these fundamental skills and working with other team athletes. As the season progresses, these skills will be expanded to include variations of each including different forms of passing, guarding and shooting techniques. Athletes will form teams to play a fun but non-competitive game each week.
