Safe Sport Act Prompts Changes for Youth Sports Leagues

The recently passed Safe Sport Act mandates a new standard of care for all organizations and individuals involved in youth sports; regardless of the size of the organization. To ensure compliance with this Act, Spirit League is currently updating their volunteer approval and training process to include a multi-level approach. For volunteers 18 years and older, changes will include: Abuse prevention training, Mandatory reporting training, and Background checks. Let’s Celebrate

As a non-profit organization, Spirit League relies on support from the community. We want to celebrate the following three organizations for their continued support this Spring: Autism Speaks and the Ueberroth Family Foundation each recently granted $5,000 to support the Spirit League Program. Captain’s Auction Warehouse raised funds for the League at their live April auction donating over $1,100 in April alone.
